FAQ's

What should you bring to the event?

  • Make sure you bring your medical release form to your first event if you haven't already submitted it online.
  • Try to check in at least 20 minutes before your tee time.
  • Bring your clubs and golfing attire. (Most courses prefer collared shirts, but that's generally not a hard rule for youth. Golf shoes are NOT required.
  • The course generally provides free water on the course and food to purchase in the clubhouse but a refillable water battle is recommended.

What to do upon arrival at the course.

  • Check in with the director (Scott Morris)
  • Pick up a rules sheet for the event. (Which tee markers are we using? What hole are you starting on? Etc)
  • Begin to warm up on the putting green and/or driving range.

What are the basic LAG Tour policies and procedures

  • It is important to us that we maintain the integrity of golf competition. We want to TEACH honesty and etiquette more so than to POLICE honesty and etiquette (unless necessary) so we ask that each of you, players AND parents help us in that pursuit.
  • 10U and 12U are welcome to use caddies. 14U and 18U are not allowed the use of a caddie, cart or outside advice giving.
  • We generally follow USGA rules. Local rules and regulations will be posted and discussed before tee-off.
  • We will generally allow players to move their ball a grip length in the general playing area unless otherwise stated. (Anywhere EXCEPT bunkers, hazards and green)
  • Each player will keep score for every other player in their group. This is to help insure accountability for the rest of the field. (10U and 12U may use a parent to keep the group scores if everyone in the group agrees.)
  • Each group will turn in only ONE scorecard for that group AFTER each player has double checked that card for accuracy AND SIGNED THE CARD.)
